About the Event
This captivating concert invites you on a journey through sound and storytelling — beginning with the playful chaos of Strauss’ Overture to Die Fledermaus, where mistaken identities and a man disguised as a bat set the stage for laughter and intrigue. Lose yourself in the haunting beauty of Barber’s Adagio for Strings, a moment of profound stillness and reflection. From there, we plunge into the whimsical and dramatic life of an imaginary soldier in Prokofiev’s Lieutenant Kijé Suite, before being swept away to the enchanted world of Scheherazade, where Rimsky-Korsakov brings to life the exotic romance and mystery of the Arabian Nights. This is not just a concert — it’s an odyssey of the imagination.
