In June 1995, acclaimed opera star Lesley Garrett performed with the Orchestra for its first ever concert at the wonderful Anvil Concert Hall.  25 years on and where better to be in June than in an Italian courtyard, since acoustically the Anvil has been described as just that! So close your eyes and allow yourself to be transported as Basingstoke Symphony Orchestra joins forces with the Rivarate Choir and Collegium Chorus to bring you a cornucopia of favourite operatic arias, choruses and orchestral music by such great Italian composers as Rossini, Verdi, Puccini and Ponchielli as well as Tchaikovsky's evocative Capriccio Italien, Respighi's Ancient Airs and Dances and Albinoni's famous Adagio.  So much to enjoy!  So much to love!  So don't miss 'Italia Con Amore'!
