The BSO
goes to Alençon 2nd - 4th May 2003 After literally years of planning and talking about going to France,
on the 2nd May 2003 the BSO finally set off for Alençon, Basingstoke's twin town in
Normandy. We were to be hosted by the Hamonie d'Alençon, a classical wind ensemble, both
staying with members of the Harmonie and playing with them in a joint concert. The trip was a tremendous success, and on the following pages are a
number of pictures from our visit.
